According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Bitfinex indicates that BTC once rose above $81,000 last week, but fell back after Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh delivered a hawkish speech on Jackson Hole. Currently, it is still maintained around $77,100. The report states that the August rally was more supported by spot buying, with a moderate increase in open interest and relatively controlled basis. US spot BTC ETF saw nearly $1 billion in net inflows last week, while investment products such as ETH had a net inflow of $815.7 million during the same period. Macroeconomically, US PCE inflation is at 3.7%, with core PCE at 3.3%. Private domestic demand grew at an annualized rate of 4.2% in the second quarter, and the implied probability of a rate hike in September has risen to 57%. Bitfinex believes that ETF and stablecoin capital flows continue to support the crypto market, but higher interest rate expectations may limit further gains. Subsequent attention will focus on employment and inflation data for August.
