Dan Driscoll has clashed with Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth over the direction of the Army and the dismissal of several senior officers. With Pete Hegseth firing the former Army Chief of Staff Randy George and Christopher Laneff taking on the role of acting Chief of Staff, Dan Driscoll's departure will leave the U.S. Army without any civilian or military leader confirmed by the Senate.
