ICE and tZERO Collaborate to Launch the NYSE Tokenized Securities Platform
2026-09-01 12:41:31
According to CoinMeta, Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), identified as ICE, announced on August 31 that it will invest in tZERO and grant it blockchain patents in order to jointly develop the upcoming NYSE tokenized securities platform. Under the agreement, tZERO will become a design partner for the digital transfer agent and brokerage system, supporting the issuance, trading, and on-chain settlement of public securities. ICE owns the New York Stock Exchange and several major clearinghouses, but has not disclosed the investment amount, the valuation of tZERO, or the financing timeline. The platform still needs to meet regulatory, technical, and operational requirements. ICE plans to consult with tZERO when establishing standards for digital transfer agents, tokenization agents, and brokers. tZERO is expected to become an approved digital transfer agent if it meets the applicable requirements. ICE, the vice president of ICE, referred to tZERO as a “valuable partner” in the digital transfer agent project.
