According to CoinMeta, as announced by Gate US, its wholly-owned subsidiary Gate Futures LLC has been registered with the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) as an independent introducing broker and has become a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). An independent introducing broker is not equivalent to a futures exchange or futures commission merchant; its main function is to solicit or undertake customer futures business and to forward orders to FCM for execution and settlement.
