2026-09-01 13:27:34
According to CoinMeta, as analyzed by on-chain researcher rarma, Injective stopped generating blocks for approximately 3 hours and 42 minutes on August 31st. The block height reverted from 181,027,006 to 181,027,007 during this period, with no rollbacks occurring. Status records of QuickNode also indicate that the mainnet of Injective experienced a nationwide block stagnation on that day, and an emergency patch was deployed. It is suspected that the attacker repeatedly exploited the insurance fund of Injective and the unauthorized binary options market creation mechanism, executing a total of 299 related operations. As a result, they managed to transfer approximately 1,979.8 ETH, worth about 4.88 million US dollars, to the same address.
