According to CoinMeta, Aquifer is an automated market maker within the Solana ecosystem and was attacked on August 31, resulting in a loss of approximately $2.5 million. Aquifer issued a white-hat proposal on the blockchain, demanding that the attackers return at least 80% of the stolen assets to the designated Solana and Ethereum recovery addresses by 22:00 on September 3. Up to 20% of the returned assets could be kept as a bounty. If the request is fulfilled, the project team promised not to file any civil lawsuits against them.
