One gigawatt of generating capacity can approximately meet the electricity needs of 750,000 households. The report indicates that more than 74% of the new energy storage capacity added in the second quarter was installed in states where Trump won the 2024 presidential election. Among them, Arizona added 6.2 gigawatt-hours of energy storage capacity, setting a new historical record for the highest single-quarter addition of energy storage capacity in any state in the United States.
