According to CoinMeta, as tensions in the Middle East returned, the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds rose by more than 2 basis points on Tuesday, reaching 4.784%, the highest level since January 14, 2025. The yield on 30-year Treasury bonds also increased by more than 2 basis points, reaching 5.271%. Meanwhile, the yield on 2-year Treasury bonds remained unchanged at 4.35%. Due to a new round of attacks by the U.S. military against Iran and an attack on an oil tanker near the Strait of Hormuz by unidentified entities, borrowing costs have risen, pushing global government borrowing costs to their highest point since the beginning of last year. Oil prices also increased as a result; West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures rose by 1.49% to $87.04 per barrel, while Brent crude oil rose by 1.34% to $91.71. Investors are also paying attention to the upcoming G20 Finance Ministers' meeting to be held in Asheville, North Carolina, as well as domestic economic data such as ISM manufacturing PMI and non-farm employment figures.
