Hut 8 Included in a $35 Billion AI Computing Power Procurement Agreement

According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin mining company Hut8 is located in the Beacon Point AI data center park in Texas and has been included in a computing power procurement agreement worth $35 billion with cloud service providers Anthropic and AI. The park is leased by NVIDIA, Lambda will provide the computing power using NVIDIA chips, while Anthropic will purchase the relevant computing capacity. Hut8 had previously signed two 15-year long-term leases in this park, covering a total of 704 MW IT units, with an initial contract value of about $19.6 billion. The park can support up to approximately 1 GW megawatts of electricity, and after full operation, it is expected to contribute an average annual operating profit of about $1.31 billion. As the demand for computing power AI increases, more and more Bitcoin mining companies are turning to AI / HPC services by utilizing existing electricity and data center infrastructure.
