According to CoinMeta, OpenAI has officially counterattacked Apple's trade secret lawsuit, claiming that the entire dispute is "a mess created by Apple itself." The real purpose of Apple's lawsuit is to slow down its hardware competitors and also deter more employees from leaving. Currently, about 400 former Apple employees have joined OpenAI's hardware business, and OpenAI states that Apple cannot stop "the next batch of 400 people" from leaving through litigation. OpenAI also revealed that the first hardware product will be "substantially different" from existing Apple products.
