KuCoin Upgrade of interest-free lending for institutions, supporting unified trading accounts
2026-09-01 22:01:06
According to CoinMeta, KuCoin has announced an upgrade to its institutional interest-free lending program, integrating support for a unified trading account (UTA), with the aim of simplifying the capital management for institutional clients. This upgrade reduces the external 30-day trading volume requirement for newly registered API clients from 30 million USDT to 10 million USDT. Eligible clients can enjoy 0% interest for the first two months without any trading volume requirements. The upgraded program allows eligible institutional clients to borrow up to 3 million USDT. The borrowed funds can be used for spot, margin, and futures trading, supporting USDT, USDC, Bitcoin, and Ethereum. KuCoin stated that this integration is aimed at reducing capital fragmentation between different trading accounts and helping institutions to lower costs and operational friction across multiple products and strategies.
