Injective Official Statement: Network Upgrade for Acceleration, User Funds Not Affected
2026-09-01 22:13:53
According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Injective issued an official statement stating that yesterday's network activity was a rapid upgrade rather than a shutdown. During the upgrade, some validators were temporarily jailed due to their inability to complete the upgrade in time, and some exchanges also briefly closed deposits and withdrawals. However, Injective stated that the main chain remained operational throughout, and users' funds as well as pledged INJ were not affected. This upgrade was accelerated after a small number of prediction market ecosystem applications were exploited. Officials claimed that the incident only affected the application layer and did not involve the Injective main chain, protocol, native assets, or consensus mechanism. The relevant attack vectors have since been fixed.
