According to CoinMeta, NFT (non-fungible tokens) will still be important in 2026, despite experiencing price corrections in 2023. In October 2025, the trading volume of NFT reached $546 million, setting a new annual high with 10.1 million transactions in a single month. Although speculative NFT centered around avatars encountered a collapse, the technology behind NFT itself remains valid. NFT is defined as a data unit stored on the blockchain that proves the uniqueness and irreplaceability of digital or physical assets. As the technology matures, the application scenarios for NFT continue to expand, including gaming, virtual worlds, tokenization of physical assets, ticketing, and identity verification, among others. In 2025, the global NFT industry was valued at $43.08 billion, and it is expected to reach $60.82 billion in 2026, with an average annual growth rate of 41.2%.
