Solana CEO: Inflation reduction plans are too premature, and the impacts are not fully understood
2026-09-03 03:34:12
According to CoinMeta, Michael Hubbard, the CEO of SOL Strategies, stated that the proposal to double the annual inflation rate reduction speed is premature. The current inflation level of around 4% to 4.5% does not support an accelerated reduction. He pointed out that the adoption of proposal SGP-0002 did not fully consider the impact on network participants. This proposal would increase the annual inflation rate reduction speed from 15% to 30%. According to the final governance vote results of Solana, SGP-0002 received 176.29 million SOL of support, accounting for 67% of those participating in staking. Hubbard believes that the current inflation level is not extreme, and reducing the issuance volume will not immediately or significantly change the price of SOL.
