Bitcoin mining pool Ocean stops supporting BIP-110 fork chain
2026-09-03 08:14:14
According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin mining pool Ocean has stopped supporting the BIP-110 fork chain and has clearly stated that it will continue to adopt SHA-256 and will not follow up with its subsequent Blake2b workproof hard fork. Ocean previously provided an independent mining entry for the BIP-110 chain, but that chain experienced a long period of stagnation due to insufficient computing power after August 8th. The BIP-110 fork chain then switched to Blake2b starting from block 961,640 on August 30th and reduced the mining difficulty to continue producing blocks. Ocean indicated that the mining rewards previously given for this chain could not be matured because they did not reach 100 confirmations, and thus no further related rewards will be paid. Miners who wish to continue supporting this chain can switch to Convoy Mining.
