Binance responds to user AKEUSDT's contract losses: No abnormalities found in the system or pricing mechanism

According to CoinMeta, Binance responded to users' concerns regarding the issue of "the AKE ( Akedo ) contract experiencing an abnormal short squeeze, resulting in a loss of 5 million US dollars" on its X platform. Binance stated that on September 3, 2026, at 05:44 ( UTC +8), the AKE token experienced significant price fluctuations across the market, with these fluctuations being observed on multiple mainstream trading platforms and on-chain markets, showing a generally consistent trend. This was attributed to market volatility rather than an abnormal price on a single platform. Binance currently does not offer spot trading for AKE. The pricing mechanism and liquidation rules for AKEUSDT contracts are not based on Binance's spot market but are calculated by referring to the spot market prices across the entire network. Upon verification, Binance's related systems were operating normally, and no abnormalities were found in the pricing mechanism. This incident was not caused by any platform-related price anomalies or system failures; rather, it was a normal risk associated with leveraged positions under extreme market conditions.
