Crude Oil Prices: WTI, Brent, and Energy Market Forecasts
2026-09-03 19:11:16
According to CoinMeta, crude oil prices fell slightly on September 3, but Brent crude remained close to $95 per barrel, while WTI crude stayed above $90. Due to the intensifying conflict between the United States and Iran, the supply risks in the Strait of Hormuz continued. Technical charts indicate that both benchmark crude oils are approaching important resistance levels, and traders are also preparing for the Sunday OPEC meeting, while assessing the unexpected decline in U.S. crude oil inventories. Brent crude futures fell 59 cents at 0509 GMT, a decrease of 0.6%, to $95.04, while U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude fell 38 cents, a decrease of 0.4%, to $90.63. It is OPEC expected that the production policy for October will remain unchanged at the Sunday meeting.
