According to CoinMeta, a startup data center company, Crusoe, has signed a cloud service agreement worth approximately $13 billion with a quantitative trading institution, Jane Street Group. Under the agreement, Crusoe will provide Jane Street with advanced AI chip clusters (GPU) and other infrastructure required for AI training and inference through its cloud platform. Jane Street has become one of Crusoe's largest cloud service customers to date. This agreement has further increased investors' interest in Crusoe's latest financing; Crusoe recently completed financing of over $3 billion, with the company valued at around $30 billion. Crusoe initially used waste natural gas from the energy industry to power cryptocurrency mining, later shifted to the AI infrastructure sector, and has already reached AI computing power collaborations with companies such as Meta and Oracle. As the demand for AI computing power continues to grow among financial institutions and large enterprises, GPU cloud service providers are becoming important players in the AI infrastructure market.
