Will Wu: The ultimate fate of Asian stablecoins will be to integrate into wallet interfaces and local currency payment systems
2026-09-04 13:55:23
According to CoinMeta, bitget wallet, the head of the Asia-Pacific region, Will Wu, stated at the FutureMode 2026 "Asian Stablecoin Competition" roundtable forum that the real sign of stablecoins entering daily finance is not an increase in issuance volume, but whether users form a habit of continuous and recurring payments. In July this year, on the bitget wallet platform, the number of daily payments exceeded the number of transactions for the first time. Physical card users initiated an average of 10 payments per month, with an average amount of $28 per transaction, showing characteristics of daily consumption behavior. He expects that by 2027, the Asian stablecoin market will form a coordinated layer architecture that uses cryptocurrency wallets as an entry point to connect US dollar stablecoins with local currency payments through regulated partners.
