CoinShares: Bitcoin exhibits characteristics of currency devaluation in trading
2026-09-05 03:39:13
According to CoinMeta, in its market report on September 4th, CoinShares, Bitcoin once again exhibited characteristics similar to gold's "currency devaluation trading" over the past two weeks. Concerns about the sustainability of U.S. fiscal policy and the Treasury Department's increased purchases of long-term government bonds drove BTC from a low of $60,000 to a high of $80,100 at one point. However, Federal Reserve policy remains the main factor restricting further gains. CoinShares believes that for Bitcoin to continuously break through $80,000, a major catalyst could be a relaxation in the Iranian situation leading to lower oil prices and inflation expectations, or a further deterioration in market confidence in U.S. sovereign debt. In the short term, attention will be focused on August's inflation data and the Federal Reserve's meeting in September.
