Danish Central Bank warns of indirect financial risks from the expansion of US dollar stablecoins
2026-09-11 14:06:29
According to CoinMeta, the Danish Central Bank (Danmarks Nationalbank) has warned that the rapid growth of US dollar-pegged stablecoins globally may expose Denmark to risks of volatility and liquidity in the indirect financial markets. Currently, the usage rate of stablecoins in Denmark is relatively low and does not pose an immediate threat to domestic financial stability. The Danish Central Bank is working in collaboration with the European Central Bank (ECB) to ensure that central bank money continues to serve as the primary settlement asset for interbank transactions.
