Coinbase CEO: Digital Asset Market Structure Bill Approaching Senate Support
2026-09-11 16:33:31
According to CoinMeta, Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong indicates that the U.S. Digital Assets Market Structure Act Clarity Act is nearing Senate support, with the senators they have contacted generally in favor of the bill. The remaining disputes mainly focus on details such as ethical provisions. The bill is expected to face a key vote in the Senate on September 15th, and obtaining 60 votes remains the main hurdle. Armstrong states that even if the bill is not ultimately passed, SEC and CFTC are already prepared to introduce related regulations, so the U.S. crypto industry may still soon obtain a clearer regulatory framework. He believes that if the bill passes, it will help to release institutional funds and promote the development of products such as tokenized stocks in the United States.
