According to CoinMeta, Bitcoin underwent a small-scale block reorganization on September 11th, at block height 966,500. Two mining pools, Spiderpool and Antpool, generated valid competing blocks. The version from Spiderpool was considered the top block by the nodes of Galaxy Research, but Antpool also independently generated a valid block. In the end, the block from Antpool became part of the canonical chain, while the block from Spiderpool became an obsolete block, containing approximately 3.1389 BTC of rewards. The winning block from Antpool received about 3.1411 BTC of rewards. Galaxy Research noted that previous single-block reorganizations occurred on August 16th and August 24th, respectively, and are generally not considered concerning.
