According to CoinMeta, the former CEO of Alameda Research, Caroline Ellison, has joined the non-profit charity Manifund to be responsible for developing a donation platform and strengthening charitable efforts. Caroline Ellison previously pleaded guilty to causing $100 million in customer losses due to the collapse of the FTX exchange and began serving his sentence in November 2024. Co-founder Austin Chen stated that Caroline Ellison is currently serving his sentence in prison and is making efforts to repay his creditors.
