NFT sales increase by 6.8% to $46.8 million, BTC transactions surge

According to CoinMeta, based on CryptoSlam data, during the week ending September 12th, NFT sales reached approximately $46.8 million, an increase of 6.8% from the previous week. Ethereum dominated blockchain sales, while a small number of high-value Bitcoin transactions accounted for most of the activity this week. Despite the increase in sales, the number of buyer and seller addresses decreased significantly, with buyer addresses falling by 84.67% to 41,959 and seller addresses by 85.13% to 43,247. The total number of transactions was 917,549, up 48.75% from last week. Ethereum's NFT sales amounted to $16.83 million, although they decreased by 6.36% compared to earlier periods. Bitcoin ranked second with sales of $9.44 million, showing a growth of 50.12%.
