According to CoinMeta, oil prices fell from near $110 to $104.61, but still rose by 8% this week. Brent crude oil soared to $109.97 on Friday before dropping back to $104.61, while West Texas Intermediate crude closed at $100.05. Despite the decline in oil prices, Brent crude still rose by more than 8% this week, as disruptions in Middle Eastern supply continue to put pressure on the energy market. After the sharp fluctuations in oil prices, Bitcoin stabilized around $77,300 over the weekend, rising by about 0.9% on Friday to close at $77,200. Although the drop in oil prices provided a temporary respite, the market still faces the risk of interest rate hikes by the Federal Reserve.
