Kalshi Plans to Launch Perpetual Futures on Tesla, Apple, and NVIDIA
2026-09-13 21:00:46
According to CoinMeta, Kalshi plans to seek approval from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) for perpetual futures contracts related to major stocks such as Tesla, Apple, and NVIDIA, as well as exchange-traded funds (ETFs). These contracts will provide investors with 24/7 access to derivatives trading similar to that of cryptocurrencies. Kalshi expects to apply for around 60 stock-related perpetual contracts. Although the expansion by Kalshi may expand its influence beyond the forecasting market and crypto derivatives, Citadel Securities opposes this proposal, and Wall Street is discussing which regulatory agency should be responsible for overseeing these products. The CEO of Kalshi, Tarek Mansour, stated that these “U.S. perpetual contracts” are intended to provide American traders with the opportunity to access crypto-style derivatives at CFTC-registered venues.
