According to CoinMeta, the Bulgarian Parliament has passed a final amendment that requires crypto service providers to report detailed customer and transaction data to the national tax authorities, in order to align national regulations with EU requirements for information sharing. The amendment received support from 149 members of parliament on September 9th, with no votes against it and 10 members abstaining. Under the new regulations, crypto asset service companies are obliged to register and submit information to the Bulgarian National Revenue Agency, including customers' names, addresses, dates and places of birth, tax identification numbers, and tax residency locations. This measure is part of the EU's Administrative Cooperation Directive DAC8, which requires crypto asset service providers to collect customer identity information and transaction records for exchange between different jurisdictions.
