According to CoinMeta, when the new crypto regulatory framework of the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) is implemented in October 2027, British commercial banks will not be forced to lift the blanket payment restrictions on cryptocurrency exchanges. The FCA hopes that with more comprehensive regulatory safeguards in place, banks will be able to avoid a complete ban on their own, but at the policy enforcement level, autonomy will be given to the banking industry, and no administrative orders will be used to enforce such restrictions.
