According to foreign media reports, AI, a startup company in the field of training data, AfterQuery, has completed a new round of financing, with its latest valuation reaching $3.2 billion. This is just about five months since it announced the completion of a $30 million Series A financing in April this year, with a valuation of $300 million at that time.

Valuation has increased by more than ten times in five months

This means that the company's valuation has increased by more than 10 times in less than half a year. Y Combinator Partners Gustaf Alstr ö mer indicate that, measured by the speed from its establishment to becoming a unicorn, AfterQuery could be the fastest company in the history of this accelerator.

Its two founders are currently 22 and 23 years old respectively, and they are participating in the 2025 winter batch. Calculating backwards in time, this is only about 18 months before they will join Y Combinator.

Customers include companies such as Nvidia.

In April, AfterQuery revealed that the company's annualized revenue operation rate had reached 100 million US dollars, and stated that it had collaborated with several leading AI laboratories. The company named its clients including Nvidia, Legora, as well as the South Korean AI laboratory Motif Technologies.

From public information, it can be seen that the capital market's interest in AI's infrastructure and model training services continues to grow. This round of valuation increase for AfterQuery also indicates that the importance of training data and professional annotation capabilities is on the rise within the current AI industry chain.

Focusing on training models for professionals

The track that AfterQuery is on has similarities with companies such as Mercor and Scale; all involve professionals like doctors and lawyers in model training. However, its focus is not merely on improving the accuracy of the models' answers to questions.

The company places more emphasis on allowing models and AI agents to learn the ways professionals complete tasks. According to them, the goal of this type of training is to transform the work patterns, decision-making methods, and reasoning processes of top practitioners into capabilities that can be reused by models.

Additional information:This financing was first disclosed by Forbes. TechCrunch stated that as of the time of the report's publication, AfterQuery had not yet made any comments on this matter.
