Foreign media: Before the release of U.S. employment data for August, the market is focusing on the Federal Reserve's September meeting. Economists generally expect about 53,000 to 56,000 new jobs to be created, with the unemployment rate remaining around 4.1%.
Bitcoin first reached $81,000
Before the data release, Bitcoin was trading around $81,200, up more than 5% from its opening on Thursday. It also once again crossed above the 50-week moving average for the first time, and the market regards this as a dividing line between short-term strength and weakness.
Interest rate cut expectations drive risky assets
Fed Governor Waller stated that if inflation continues to cool down, he might support keeping interest rates unchanged. As a result, markets lowered their expectations for a rate hike in September, U.S. Treasury yields fell, and risk appetite rebounded. American spot Bitcoin ETF recorded a net inflow of about $731 million on Thursday, the largest single-day inflow since January.

Nasdaq 100 futures rose by about 0.4% to 0.5% before the data, S&P 500 futures were close to flat, and Dow Jones futures fell slightly. The yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds hovered at 4.77%, while the yield on 2-year bonds was around 4.36%. The market is concerned that if employment data is significantly stronger than expected, yields and the dollar may rise again, putting pressure on tech stocks and Bitcoin; if the data is weaker, it may reinforce expectations that the Federal Reserve will remain inactive.
