Solana Mobile announces the launch of a new round of Mobile App Hackathon CLOCK IN, which will take place from September 8th to October 8th. The event is organized by RadiantsDAO. It is aimed at Seeker ecosystem developers, with a focus on promoting the development of mobile-first applications centered around Solana Mobile Stack, Seeker devices, and dApp Store.

Total bonus amount: $135,000

This hackathon has set up 10 first prizes, with a bonus of $10,000 for each project; in addition, there are 5 excellence awards, with a bonus of $5,000 for each project. The organizers have also set aside a reward of $10,000 for the SKR award, to recognize the projects that integrate most deeply with Solana Mobile Stack.

In addition to the cash reward, the winning team will also have the opportunity to receive Seeker devices, dApp and Store listing support, marketing resources, as well as the chance for one-on-one communication with Solana, the co-founder Anatoly Yakovenko.

Continuing the expansion of the Seeker ecosystem

This is the third hackathon for Solana Mobile. Previously, Solana Mobile has continuously attracted developers to its mobile ecosystem through similar events. The first event was held in 2025, with a prize pool of $100,000.

The second Hackathon MONOLITH lasted for 5 weeks and concluded at the beginning of March 2026. Official data shows that the event received over 400 valid submissions from 66 countries, representing a 44% increase in participation compared to the first edition. RadiantsDAO also participated in the organization of MONOLITH.

To participate, it is required to submit the Android application.

According to the rules, this event does not accept the practice of simply encapsulating existing web pages into Android applications. The start time of participating projects must not be earlier than 3 months before the announcement date of the hackathon; if it is an existing project participating, it is necessary to prove that significant new development for mobile devices has been completed during the event period.

For teams that already have the Web application, the submitted content must still include a functional Android application and demonstrate clear mobile development features. Each project must also integrate with Solana Mobile Stack and Mobile Wallet Adapter, and establish substantial interaction with the Solana network.

The materials to be submitted include a runnable Android APK, a GitHub repository containing the source code, a demonstration video, as well as project introduction materials or a brief presentation file.

Review covers products and presentations.

The judges will score from 4 dimensions, each with a weight of 25%. These include user stickiness and product-market fit, user experience, innovation, as well as the presentation and demonstration effect of the project.

This means that the evaluation criteria not only focus on technical implementation but also consider whether the application is suitable for the Seeker community, whether the mobile experience is complete, and whether the team can clearly articulate the product's value.

Additional information:SolanaFloor mentioned that the Shipped monthly live broadcast on September 9th will continue to focus on the Seeker ecosystem. Participants include Solana Mobile General Manager, Emmett Hollyer, RadiantsDAO, as well as the previous Hackathon award-winning project BackYard Finance.

Solana Launches Payment Channel Solution: Millions of Small Payments Do Not Equal Millions of On-Chain Settlements
On September 3, the Solana Foundation introduced a payment channel solution for AI agents and high-frequency, small-value transactions, claiming that it can support up to 1 million payments per second. This figure is easily misinterpreted. The core of the payment channel is not to allow the Solana mainnet to record 1 million independent transactions per second, but rather to have users authorize a certain amount first, conduct a large number of off-chain measurements within the channel, and then settle the aggregated results on-chain. What it improves is the processing capacity of payment events, while reducing the actual number of on-chain settlements.

cirBTC Launched on Ethereum: Circle Putting Reserve Transparency at the Core of Bitcoin Packaging
On September 4th, Circle introduced its reserve scheme for its Bitcoin packaging product cirBTC. Official information indicates that cirBTC has already been launched on Ethereum, supported by native Bitcoins at a 1:1 ratio; when the mainnet of Arc goes live, it is planned to provide further native support, and in the future, it may also be extended to other blockchains. It is important to distinguish between these two states: the Ethereum version is already available, but the support for Arc is still planned to be launched when the mainnet goes live, and cannot be described as currently being fully covered.
