Apple has released the iPhone 18 Pro series, with new improvements in imaging, front-facing user interface, and system functionality. Compared to hardware upgrades, what has drawn more attention this time is that the new version of Siri AI will start English language testing alongside iOS on the 27th of this month.

Siri AI will go live this month along with iOS on the 27th.

Apple stated that the new version of Siri AI possesses context understanding based on screen content, and can provide responsive interactions in conjunction with the current interface. This feature will initially be available only in the English test version, and is planned to be rolled out along with this month's iOS on the 27th.

The company also stated that French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish support will be added in October. This means that Apple is treating AI capabilities as an important part of the new generation of iPhone experience, although the initial coverage range is still limited.

Camera upgraded to variable aperture

The iPhone 18 Pro series is equipped with a 48-megapixel primary camera and features a variable aperture design. According to Apple, this system uses a six-leaf structure, which is mainly designed to improve low-light shooting performance and shooting speed.

The camera software has also added several professional control options, including white balance and histogram display, further enhancing the Pro series' capabilities in adjusting shooting parameters.

Price increased by $100

  • iPhone 18 Pro The selling price is 1199 US dollars.
  • iPhone 18 Pro Max The selling price is 1299 US dollars.
  • Both models have seen a price increase of $100 compared to their predecessors.

Pre-orders for the new device will open on Saturday, with official sales starting on September 18th. Apple has also added a burgundy color version, replacing the orange color from the previous generation of products. At the same time, iOS 27 will bring iPhone and handoff features, allowing two iPhone to share one eSIM and switch between them.
