According to CoinMeta, Igor Ruenets, the founder of Russia's largest crypto mining company Bitriver, has been detained in connection with a fraud case involving 1 billion rubles (approximately 12 million US dollars). Moscow prosecutors accuse Ruenets of receiving full prepayments for crypto mining equipment that was not delivered or refunded. The court has ordered his detention for two months to allow investigators to further investigate the case.
