As the conflicts in Iran and Russia-Ukraine continue to deplete the U.S. military's stockpile of weapons, the U.S. Department of Defense has pledged to pay arms contractors nearly $100 billion in order to accelerate the production of Patriot and Thaad interceptors. In addition, the Pentagon has ordered 14 nuclear submarines, with a total contract value of $76.6 billion. On the 29th local time, there were reports that there were changes in the Pentagon's transactions with arms contractors regarding Patriot interceptors, with the contract signed in April of this year, which was for one year and valued at $4.7 billion, being revised to a draft agreement for seven years with a total value of $58.6 billion. At the same time, the Pentagon has preliminarily finalized a seven-year contract for Thaad interceptor purchases worth $35 billion.
