According to CoinMeta, on Wednesday, the Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 1,153.18 points, a decrease of 2.19%, closing at 51,594.14 points, marking the largest decline since April 2025. This decline was mainly influenced by the Federal Reserve's decision to keep interest rates unchanged, which exacerbated market concerns about inflation and rising Treasury yields. Other major U.S. stock indices also saw significant declines: the S&P 500 Index fell by 1.52%, and the Nasdaq Composite Index fell by 1.74%. Investors are worried that the Federal Reserve may not be able to effectively control inflation, with the yield on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds rising above 4.67%, and the yield on 30-year Treasury bonds soaring to 5.2%, the highest level since 2007. At the same time, rising oil prices also increased market pressure, with West Texas Intermediate crude oil futures rising by more than 6%, closing at $84.46 per barrel.
