According to CoinMeta, on July 30th, Bhutan's meditation city of Gyalph appointed the Canadian digital asset management company 3iq to be responsible for managing a portion of its Bitcoin treasury. This agreement advances Bhutan's national commitment to plan to use up to 10,000 BTC for the long-term development of this special administrative region. 3iq will also establish a permanent presence in Gyalph, invest in Bhutanese talent, and transfer investment management knowledge. Although the specific amount of Bitcoin and the start time of management have not been disclosed, Pascal Saint-Jean, the CEO of 3iq, stated that the company will use Bhutan's capital in a "responsible, transparent, and long-term" manner. This agreement represents a clear step towards external professional management, although the exact amount of Bitcoin allocated to the company remains unknown.
