Binance will gradually migrate users' funds and encrypted assets from their accounts to their spot accounts

According to CoinMeta, Binance will gradually migrate the crypto assets in users' funding accounts to spot accounts starting from September 29th, with the migration expected to last until January 2027. After the migration period ends, the funding accounts will be renamed to “stock accounts” and will be used solely for the trading and settlement of stocks and stock options in the future. Starting from September 29th, funding accounts will no longer support on-chain top-ups. Six types of settlement assets will subsequently be supported for stock trading, while the deposit and withdrawal of other crypto assets will be consolidated and processed through the spot accounts. The platform will provide a “one-click migration” feature for users to perform in advance. Assets that are not migrated will be automatically transferred to the spot accounts in batches starting from January 2027, with the total value and security of the assets remaining unaffected.
