Hong Kong Legislative Council Member Qiu Dagen: Promoting the Development of the Digital Assets Market
2026-09-23 16:55:36
According to CoinMeta, Hong Kong Legislative Council member Qiu Dagen stated that the regulation of digital assets in Hong Kong has gradually covered areas such as virtual asset trading platforms, stablecoins, custody, consulting, and asset management. In the next phase, the focus will shift from "establishing rules" to promoting market development, with an emphasis on products, infrastructure, and interoperability. This includes advancing products like stablecoins, tokenized deposits, tokenized bonds, and RWA, as well as exploring connections with overseas markets. At the same time, Hong Kong will continue to comply with relevant regulatory requirements from the mainland and promote interconnectivity in non-asset blockchain applications such as trade data, payments, carbon emission data, and the internationalization of the RMB.
