According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Tether announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the programmable commercial bank Pave Bank and the Global Finance and Technology Network ( GFTN), a non-profit organization headquartered in Singapore, to jointly explore the launch of the “Georgia-Singapore Fintech Scholars Program.” The program aims to break down financial barriers by selecting outstanding undergraduate students majoring in STEM from the Tbilisi National University in Georgia to study at the Singapore Management University for one semester in 2027, and to fully integrate them into Singapore’s fintech industry ecosystem. Selected scholars will participate in advanced academic studies and be guided by industry mentors. Those who complete the program successfully will also receive internship opportunities with the collaborating institutions as well as access to the GFTN global network of contacts.
