The transaction was completed on September 25th, and the financial terms have not been disclosed. Coinglass will continue to operate under its current brand, maintaining its existing website, mobile applications, and team, while also gaining CoinMarketCap's larger global distribution channels. This acquisition enables CoinMarketCap to obtain key data from the derivatives market in addition to price data, including open interest, funding rates, clearing, and options activity. According to Coinglass's market report, in the first half of 2026, the trading volume of crypto derivatives reached 35.08 trillion US dollars, with an average of about 193.8 billion US dollars per day, which is a 15.7% decrease compared to the same period in 2025.
