According to CoinMeta, Wu said that Bitget has released the latest updates on the security incident, stating that the security team has identified the attack path and the methods used by the attackers to bypass existing security controls. The relevant underlying vulnerabilities have been fixed, and the incident is now under control. The latest on-chain tracking shows that approximately $387.5 million in assets have been transferred to the attacker's controlled addresses, which is higher than the previously estimated $351.6 million. This is mainly due to the inclusion of assets from Zcash and Tron that were not counted before, and no new thefts have occurred. Bitget has also launched a reward program for asset recovery, offering a 5% reward to those who directly contributed to the freezing or recovery of the stolen funds, and plans to announce a plan for resuming withdrawals by 12:00 PM Beijing time on September 26th at the latest.
