In her letter, she stated that serving as a committee member was an honor in her professional career and emphasized the importance of allowing people to make their own investment choices within an appropriate regulatory framework. She has been a committee member since January 2018, with her term originally scheduled to end in 2025, but SEC regulations allow committee members to continue serving for about another 18 months after their term ends. Her next career move was announced in May of this year; she will be joining the Law School of Regent University as an associate professor.
