Solana 150-millisecond settlement upgrade enters the second public testing network

CoinMeta Data: The 150-millisecond settlement upgrade for Solana has entered its second public developer network, allowing application teams to conduct tests before the official launch. This upgrade, named Alpenglow, aims to reduce the final transaction confirmation time to about 150 milliseconds, which is a significant improvement compared to the current system's approximately 12.8 seconds. This will shorten the waiting time for exchanges to release deposits or to notify merchants of transaction completion. According to the upgrade page on the Solana Foundation, Alpenglow has been activated on both networks. The developer network is used to test token applications with no actual value, while the independent test network is mainly used for stress testing network software and validator operations.
