According to CoinMeta, the Russian government announced that it will issue the first batch of bitcoin licenses, as well as licenses for cryptocurrency exchanges and custodian institutions, within the next few weeks. The Central Bank of Russia confirmed that the licensing process will be carried out quickly and may be finalized within a few days.
