According to CoinMeta, Binance has issued a warning to remind users to be cautious of a phishing scam that involves transferring funds to fake addresses by forging similar ones. Attackers generate wallet addresses with initials and endings that resemble the target addresses and send small transactions to those targets, enticing users to mistakenly select the fake addresses when copying transaction history, resulting in funds being transferred to the attackers' accounts. Binance advises users to transfer funds only to verified, complete addresses, to use an address book whitelist, and to conduct small-scale tests before making any transfers.
