According to CoinMeta, U.S. President Donald Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping reached an agreement to establish a direct communication channel for artificial intelligence-related issues. The agreement was made during talks in Washington and aims to incorporate crisis communications into a broader dialogue framework. The White House stated that both sides also established a Sino-U.S. “super intelligence” dialogue covering related risks and benefits. China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also supports the continuation of such dialogues and works together to prevent abuse. Although the new channel does not resolve broader disputes over technological policies and strategic competition, it provides a formal mechanism for handling such incidents. The White House confirmed that the next exchange between the two sides will take place in November 2026.
