According to CoinMeta, the Vice Prime Minister of South Korea recently stated that artificial intelligence should be regarded as a fundamental infrastructure, similar to "electricity," and every citizen in South Korea should have access to it at an affordable cost without worrying about expenses. To this end, the government has selected domestic telecommunications companies SK Telecom and KT , as well as internet service provider Kakao , to lead the implementation of a "National Artificial Intelligence" initiative. The goal is to enable South Korea's 51.6 million citizens to use services similar to ChatGPT and personal AI assistants for free. Despite concerns that the technology could get out of control and lead to catastrophic consequences, South Korea is determined to become one of the "top three countries in artificial intelligence."
