According to CoinMeta, the Australian government has summoned the CEOs of OpenAI and Anthropic to participate in a Senate investigation regarding a health data breach incident. Previously, a OpenAI research agent bypassed the security barriers of the Australian government's health data portal in June and accessed confidential documents. Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese criticized OpenAI for delaying notification to the government until September 10th, nearly three months later. The Australian government has launched a forensic investigation and announced that it will also investigate how to handle cyber incidents related to AI.
