According to CoinMeta, as reported by FirstSquawk, the minutes of the Bank of Japan's meeting show that several members expressed difficulty in predicting the future pace and timing of interest rate hikes. One member pointed out that, considering the potential significant damage from inflation risks, the central bank must accelerate the pace of rate hikes. Another member mentioned that the market seems to expect rate hikes every six months, but they may come even sooner. Some members also warned that if the market doubts that the Bank of Japan will raise rates appropriately, the term premium could increase.
